Item List

This page aims to bring a simple, brief list with all usable items in Shining Force III: Scenario One, and their descriptions. Images and more detailed info (availability, prices, use suggestions), to come soon.

Note: Weapons, accessories and quest items are not listed here, they'll get a special page.

Healing and Supporting Items:

Some of the following items are common and can be found for sale at Item Stores. Others are rare, such as the Healing Rain and the Hope Light, due to their power. The items can be used by any character class during battle (generally net 1 experience point for usage).

Note: Characters able to cast Healing spells receive extra experience when using HP recovery items. These characters are Grace (the Priest/Cleric), Irene and Kahn (the Monks/Master Monks). Interesting enough, Ratchet (the Steam Knight) also gets extra experience when curing friends, even not being a spell caster.

Medical Herb:
Recovers about 10 HP to a single ally.
Antidote Herb:
Cures Poison and Paralysis.
(Effect of Antidote Level 1 Spell)
Healing Drop:
Recovers about 30 HP to a single ally.
Fairy Powder:
Cures most abnormal statuses.
(Effect of Antidote Level 2 Spell)
Potion:
Completely restores HP to a single ally.
(Effect of Heal Level 4 Spell)
Goddess Tears:
Recovers about 20 MP to a single ally.
Healing Rain:
Completely restores everyone's HP.
(Effect of Aura Level 4 Spell)
Light Hope:
Completely restores everyone's MP.
Angel Wings:
Retreats from battle.
(Effect of Return Level 1 Spell)

Status Boosting Items:

These are rare, hard to find items that increase characters' status permanently. You can't find them in common stores, their locations, most times secret, are mentioned on my Walkthrough.

Hint: The attribute bonuses of some items are random (Power Wine, Health Bread, etc). Be sure to save your game before using each of these items, and load/reset until you get the maximum possible values.

Brave Apple:
Raises Character Level by 1.
Power Wine:
Raises Attack by 2-4 points.
Health Bread:
Raises Maximum HP by 2-4 points.
Armor Milk:
Raises Defense by 2-4 points.
Brain Food:
Raises Maximum MP by 2-4 points.
Quick Chicken:
Raises Agility by 2-4 points.
Nimble Onion:
Raises Movement Range by 2 points.
Happy Cookie:
Raises Luck Score by 2.

Special Materials:

These pieces of metal are the most powerful materials available in the Shining Force III: Scenario One world. If you bring them to a Smithy, he can make very good weapons and accesories for you.

Small Mithril:
Can be used to forge small pieces of equipment, such as Circlets, Rings and Amulets.
Dark Matter:
Dark Matter cubes can also be used to create weapons, but the result is a cursed item.
Large Mithril:
Can be used to forge weapons like Staves, Swords, Claws and many other artifacts.

Ruins Maps:

You'll need these maps to explore tombs and abandoned ruins. Entering the Tombs is important to get treasures, money and even secret characters! Shining Force III: Scenario One has Six Chapters, and you'll find one map per chapter, as well as a Tomb correspondent to the map in that Chapter.

Important: to enter the tombs you'll need any of the party members holding the map, do not put it in the HQ Storage! After you explore the tomb, you keep the map but it seems to become useless.
