The automatic camera will show you a nice view of the Railhead city, until Grace appears entering the Headquarters. Then, she will talk to the others and King Benetram will ask Synbios to go into the Train Station. Before doing this, however, you may want to get some goodies hidden in the city, as following: - 20 gold coins - inside shelf in the 2-floor
house near the church. In the Item Shop, you can bug the merchant until she sell you a Loincloth (for 8 gold coins) and a Potion (only 300 gold coins). :) In the Weapon Shop, buy a Power Ankh in the "Deals" section for 200 gold coins, don't miss it! (it's a nice idea to equip it on Grace, she will be able to use the Tornado spell). Note that there are two houses locked, I'm not sure if it's possible to enter them. Maybe in the next Scenarios?? If you went to the bar, you should see Julian having a drink. You can talk to him, but he won't join now. Note that the other side of the train track is unacessible by now, due to some people standing in the way... Just enter the Train Station, and there you can get more items: - Happy Cookie - inside chest behind a table, in
one of the bookshelves rooms. Once you get the items, take a look on the train platform. Note that there's a soldier that can be pushed around (he looks like Saraband's Messenger). However, it's importance is still unkown. Then, try to leave the station: the Imperial Army enters looking for King Benetram. Go to the Headquarters and the party will decide to escape hiding with the cargo. Now, the people are no longer blocking the other side of the track, so you can go to the cargo room, but you should get this first... - Large Mithril - inspect a box near the front of the train steam. Okay, now you can enter the cargo room,
prepare for the battle!
Enemies:
Ally:
- Healing Drop - break one of the barrels... Note: this battle has no boss. You must
defeat all the enemies to win.
Enemies:
* There are two locked chests in this tomb. Let the Thieves unlock them and get the items, so hit them to get the items for you. The items in this tomb are: - Goddess
Tear -
inside locked treasure chest.
Once the battle ends, Julian guides your army
to the switching point. There you'll have to save some
refugees from the empire while Medion fights another
foe... You'll be questioned here but your answer (Yes or
No) won't change anything, so say what you think it's
better. Now, another battle, and one of the hardest of
the game.
In this battle, the hardest thing is to save all the five refugees, but it is possible. Each refugee you save gives 10 experience points to ALL party members, so you can receive up to 50 experience points if you save them all! Be sure to save, reset and go back until you do it... don't give up, it is not easy, really. Enemies:
Equip the Protect Ring in Julian and the Life Ring in Dantares. In the start of the battle, have them both and Obright to cross the track by their 3rd turn. Dantares has the best walking range and must be the one who pushes the switch. If you don't switch the tracks, all refugees die. NOTE: These three are the easiest to cross the track before the train blocks it, and due to this I suggest you to try them... but it's just my personal strategy. It is possible to have up to 5 characters to cross the track if you manage to place them correctly (see detailed explanation in the Rumor Mill section)! Now, back to my strategy... The other team (Synbios, Masqurin, Grace, Hayward and Irene) should go to the right to defeat most of the enemies, including the boss. Playing as the refugees, just advance the maximum possible, and try to cross the tracks before the soldiers reach them. By doing this, Julian's team will be able to get the Gale Ring in the rock between tracks and attract the enemies, so they won't attack the refugees. Since Grace and Irene cannot be in this team, you must heal wounds by using the Protect Ring (use for Heal LV2) and items (due to this the Life Ring is so useful, since it regens HP). Synbios' team can get the Healing Drop in a tree, and
the Large
Mithril in a rock near the boss (view screenshot). Once the
refugees cross the track, the train will block the
soldiers, and they will be safe. You made it!
Inside the train, go to the passenger car after the dialogue. There, you can talk to the refugees you saved in the last battle, buy items and weapons. There is an Armor Milk in a treasure chest in this car. If you use the buy trick with the Item merchant, she will sell you a Goddess Tear for only 300 gold coins. Now go to the other car, where there is a priest, and get the Chicken Feed in a barrel. Use it in the chicken in the top of crates, as in the picture below (Stay near it, press "A" button, select "Item" menu, then "Use"):
The chicken will follow Synbios when he uses the item on her. That's all to do about the chicken by now, just go back to the car where you started and stay near Benetram and Grace for the next event, and some enemies will arrive. Note: ever noticed you can push some of the
sitting chickens? Try it for the fun, since tehre's no
known use for that.
There is no boss in this battle, you must kill all the enemies to win. Remember to get the items in the barrels: - Angel Wing - break barrel
during battle. Enemies:
*once your party advance, about two more will appear. There is also an important item you should get: - Large Mithril - inspect the
front of train engine. (Eldar is a nice one to go there).
Synbios'
army defeats Shiraf
and is able to stop the train before they crash. Now,
unable to continue the travel by train, they decide to go
to the cursed village of Quonus, since it is near that
point.
"The Synbios battalion arrived
in Railhead to merge with Produn's army, which was
supposed to be waiting there. Instead, they were greeted
by a Border Guard unit placed there by Prince Arrawnt to
protect the train station. To avoid fighting the Border
Guards, Synbios and his crew left. They ran into
Prince Medion at a rail switch point. By working
together, the two nobles managed to save a band of
refugees whose lives were in danger. Synbios and his party
then boarded a train, and ruined a gang of bandits' bid
to take over the train and its cargo. But with the
destruction of the rail tracks, they were forced to
disembark."
